Air Products
Edmonton, Alberta
Work began at Air Products in mid April 2007. Chemco was contracted directly by Air Products and Chemicals Ltd. to help construct their second Edmonton Hyrdrogen plant. The projected consisted of:
- Electrical Construction
- Electrical and Mechanical Instrumentation
- Electric Heat Trace
- Installation and tie-ins to the existing Plant 1 - 5kV
- Fibre Optics
- Site wide structural grounding
- Plant 2 – Lighting, Electric Heat Trace and Cable Tray Installation
We were successful in Safing and Locking-Out the 5KV gear in Plant 1 and had to access the gear with Arc Flash Suits.
With a peak crew of 156 people, including 106 electricians, 36 mechanical instrumentation workers, we worked over 130,000 man-hours on both contract and change order work scopes with no lost time incidents.
